How can we help you?
The entire team at North Shore Center of Dental Health expects our patients will have questions regarding the treatment they will receive for themselves and their entire family. Our dentists believe strongly that patient education is one of the most important aspects of good oral health, so we welcome questions that will clarify treatment options. We know our patients can make the best decisions on receiving treatment and making sure they maintain good oral health. We are happy to take whatever time is necessary to talk about your questions and concerns regarding your teeth and mouth.
We hear some questions quite frequently, and we’ve included some of the more common questions below. If your question is not answered here, however, please feel free to contact us for more information. We want to hear your questions about any aspect of your oral health care and treatment options. Our dentists at North Shore Center of Dental Health have the expertise to provide you with the accurate, detailed information you need to keep your smile healthy and beautiful.
Even if you brush and floss daily, it may not be enough to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Plaque and bacteria can build up in places that you have missed. Scheduling a professional dental cleaning every six months allows us to remove hard deposits, keeping your teeth clean and healthy. We can also monitor your teeth and gums to ensure that any areas of concern can be treated early.
Dental implants provide the best way to replace one or more missing teeth, and dentures are another good option for replacing multiple teeth. The advantage of dental implants is that they look totally natural and provide the same functionality as your natural teeth. They also prevent shrinkage of the jawbone. However, dentures can also provide patients with fully functioning, natural-looking teeth, particularly when mini-implants are used for denture stabilization.
In-Office Loyalty Program
Treatment costs will vary, depending on the procedures needed. If you have insurance, we will review your policy so we can help maximize your coverage. We also offer an in-house loyalty program. Through that, you can get the preventive care you need for a small monthly fee; other services are offered at a discount.
In addition to Invisalign invisible braces or a cosmetic dentistry procedure such as porcelain veneers, we offer lingual braces. These braces are placed behind the teeth and they are an excellent option for people who may not be good candidates for Invisalign but who are worried about esthetics. Lingual braces are virtually invisible, and Dr. Metelka is one of very few dentists who are certified in lingual orthodontics.
Teeth whitening is generally considered one of the most affordable and common of all the cosmetic dentistry procedures. In-office teeth whitening is quick and easy, leaving patients with teeth several shades lighter in just one visit. Results are long-lasting because in-office whitening systems use high levels of hydrogen peroxide. From start to finish, the entire procedure only takes an hour, but the results are dramatic.
